Chad’s invitation to perform and the White House and then subsequent invitations are an indication of the quality of his performance and the winning manner in which he engages his audiences.  He plays well to kids all ages (2 to 100 years of age).

Background: The only thoughtreader to fool scientists.  College entertainer of he Year 2 years in a row. College novelty act of the year.  Consultant to Penn & Teller, Criss Angel, James Randi and David Blaine.

"Through the years I have seen many young magicians take an interest in our art of magic.  Most show enthusiam, most show patience. Chad shows both of those qualities but when you watch Chad you see that there is something more. He does not just want to perform magic, he wants to be the best he can be.  When you show him something new, his eyes sparkle as he drinks the knowledge in.  Chad has a rare quality seen in only the best performers, he understands the psychology of what he is doing on an insinctive level. This allows him to grasp concepts and methods at an alarming rate. I can only say I am honored to have had some influence on this young man even if only on a minor level. I predict great things for this young man.  It is easy to see how Chad overcome many of his adversities when you see his drive and determination.  I am a better person for having met Chad."

Here at The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp we serve children with chronic life threatening illnesses including many different forms of Cancer. Chad’s performance as a magician was professional and exciting, but the greatest contribution that he made was his ability to share his hope and zeal for life as a cancer survivor. The campers carried on performing his tricks for days after his visit and he left as lasting impression on everyone who met him.

As a feature writer and reporter with the Current Newspapers I have the chance to meet all sorts of people who do all kinds of interesting things and events. I was struck by Chad several years ago when I read an old file copy of a story done on him. Skeptically I made the call and planned to do a quick update story. When I went to meet he and his family I found out first hand that a simple little follow-up could not do justice to what this 15 year old at the time was doing.
He was pouring hours into perfecting his craft that began with lessons from his father years before and now learning from others in order to follow in his dad's footsteps to try and make even one persons bad day of chemo a little lighter. his act.
He will visit with children who are sick to cheer them just because its the right thing to do. He recently spent a week at Paul Newman's camp for children with cancer and reported that he was really in awe of what these kids are fighting. His illness is an old chapter in his book and when you meet him you know its always on the future and doing whatever he can to make people forget what might be weighing them down, even if just for a short time.

Hello,
I am writing to commend Chad Juros on his support of Children's Miracle
Network at The Children's Hospital. Chad plays a major role every year
at our 98.1 WOGL Loves Our Kids Radiothon. This event helps to raise
about $500,000 every year to support patient care programs at The
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
These programs, like The Child Life and Education Department, Creative
Arts Therapies, and Social Work are so important to the healing process.
Specifically for kids in our oncology unit, long stays in the hospital
and anxiety over chemo treatments can really wear down a child's spirit.
Our Child Life Therapists work with these patients through various
creative methods to help get their feelings out. The therapists also
work with parents and siblings, truly embracing the "Family Centered"
model of care.
The radiothon is a three day event, and Chad has volunteered for the
past three years to be there to provide wonderful magical entertainment
for event volunteers. Chad also helps to secure even more donations at
the event by attracting passers by into the event with his magic skills.
Chad is a loyal dependable volunteer and helps to make this event a
success every year.

I am writing on behalf of my "inspirational" friend Chad "Chadakazam" Juros.  At my Spencer Shiffman Annual Golf Tournament at El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana, I honored Chad Juros for his incredible story battling cancer in his young life and making a difference not only in the cancer world, but the "magic" world as well.
Chad performed his magical experience with the utmost confidence and charisma, wooing everyone, including the celebrities seated in the audience.  With the  help of Chad as my "Headlining Act" and my honoring of James Caan, the event raised over $160,000 for continued research for childhood cures.
Sincerely,

Spencer Shiffman

As President and CEO of CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation since 2002, I have known Chad Juros for more than three years.  I have come to recognize Chad’s strength of character, his commitment to our cause and most importantly, his joy of life which he so willingly shares through his special magic.  One of the missions of our organization is to create awareness of the number one disease killer of children—childhood cancer.  Chad, a consistent ambassador for CureSearch, is committed to advocate for childhood cancer research and is a powerful voice when on the Hill or representing our organization in front of media.

Each year, CureSearch hosts Gold Ribbon Days in Washington, D.C., an event that brings together childhood cancer patients, families, survivors and health care professionals from across the nation to raise awareness of childhood cancer and the need for a cure.  For the past four years, Chad has brought his story and talent to D.C. to help in the effort to find a cure.  The more than 300 children and adults participating in Gold Ribbon Days look forward to Chad’s performance and are inspired by his enthusiasm and resilience. Our event just ended last week and as always,  Chad can always be found with a crowd surrounding him captivated by his traveling magic.  Chad also takes part in the Gold Ribbon Days Capitol Hill visits and shares his personal story with members of Congress.

We also have called on Chad to share his story of courage with the media.  The story of childhood cancer research and the increasingly successful survivor rate is a powerful story in itself, but a much more compelling one when we can call on Chad to talk to the media on our behalf.  We recently set up an interview with a NJ television station with Chad and a CureSearch employee, also a cancer survivor.  Chad and his family drove several hours to do the interview.  The feedback from the station was that Chad has ability beyond his years to hold his own in front of a camera, talk about his childhood cancer journey and deliver a powerful message.  Chad is always a reliable and willing advocate for CureSearch.

It is my pleasure to know this young man.  I believe that Chad’s experience with this dreaded disease, his strength and courage will carry him far on whatever path he chooses.

Sincerely,

Paul T. Burke

To say Chad Juros is magical, and his tale incredible, would be a gross understatement. I saw him step before a large crowd last Sat. at Relay for Life - Medford, NJ, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, and hold the considerable crowd in the palm of his hand, young and old. I was standing behind him, thought I could catch the tricks, I could not. He's good, extremely good.

Dear Penny and Chad,

Chad's personal quest to carry on his passion for magic despite battling Leukemia and enduring the tragic loss of his Dad, is heart-tugging, compelling and ultimately emotionally rewarding. Chad's performance at the Lance Burton Theater at the Monte Carlo Hotel & Casino, was wonderful and the standing ovation well deserved. Criss, Lance Burton and the Mindfreak Magic Team members were thrilled to support Chad's ambitions to perform onstage as a Vegas headliner magician and help make a young aspiring magician's dream come true.

Best regards from Criss Angel, myself, Erich Recker and the entire Mindfreak crew! Keep on "spreading the magic...!"

Dear Chad,
My family and I went to the "Relay for Life"  on Saturday June 24, 2006 and your performance was superb.  The cancer survivors at the event were amazed at your performance along with my wife and two children. You made so many children and adults forget their worries for that moment.  You should be proud of your excellent performance and all the happiness you bring to people with your Magic.  Thanks for entertaining us and everyone at the event. Your a wonderful person.

Chad is an amazing and gifted young man that eludes grace and love and never for a moment in my presence has felt sorry for himself.  He actually acts and behaves the opposite.  He has performed at numerous Leukemia & Lymphoma Society events, fashion shows and at our national conference.  The beautiful and inspiring gift his father left him is so heartfelt everyone should meet and hear his miraculous story.

Chad,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you very much for the
spectacular magic performance you gave at the American Cancer Society's 2006
Hammonton Relay For Life on June 3rd.  On behalf of the entire Hammonton
Relay For Life Committee, we want you to know that it is wonderful that
volunteers such as yourself unselfishly dedicate your time and services
towards this very important cause.  It is clearly evident that you are truly
passionate about what you do.  It is rewarding to have witnessed the many
smiles, joy and laughter that you had placed on the faces of cancer
survivors, their families, loved ones, friends, etc.  Your personality,
professionalism and interaction with the crowd is truly remarkable!  As I
have mentioned to you repeatedly, your Dad must be smiling down from heaven!
Continue to spread the love through your magic, Chad!

All the best,

Elinor Cappuccio

Chad has volunteered for several of our Donny Fund activities for other youngsters with catastrophic illnesses or injuries.   His talent and his easy style put our kids at ease and allow them to "get lost" in the magic.  His willingness to share of himself with other kids who are waging the battle that he once waged is testament to depth of character.  Chad will always be a part of the Donny Fund family.     Dr. John H. Glassey, Chairman of the Board, The Donny Fund.     --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just a quick note to let you know how proud I am of Chad. Taylor came home several weeks ago after Chad's performance at Mainland High School to benefit the SADD chapter and was truly moved  by, not only his talent but his professionalism and love of what he is doing!  I was able to observe him "working the crowd" at the Shirley Mae Cancer Run and the smiles on peoples faces as he worked his magic made me think of how proud Don would have been!  The irony of how he came to "discover" his God given talent makes what he does even more special...makes you think long and hard about how tragedy can turn our lives around, sometimes for the better.  Keep up the good work, our prayers are always with all of you.

I remember the day at Dover Downs Raceway when I met you both while doing charity work.  Chad so touched my heart that we felt inspired to invite you both to our Richard Petty Golf Classic.  Chad completely charmed and inspired everyone at the tournament that day with his strolling magic and sparkling personality.  Since meeting Chad I have been inspired to reach for the unthinkable even when the road seems impossible. Chad is absolutely wonderful with children, they see hope and possibility through his journey.  I am so privileged to know both Chad and yourself and know that God has big plans for him.
